A reminder that we are now into the 2022/23 tax year, and we thought we’d take the opportunity to conduct a little bit of ‘housekeeping’.
Here are just a few prompts, as we look ahead to the next 12 months:
- Be proactive when it comes to tax planning; nothing will bug you more on 5 April 2023, than missed opportunities to use allowances, reliefs and to ensure your affairs are structured in the most tax-efficient way.
- If you have paperwork relating to your 2021/22 tax return available, consider providing it to your usual adviser early on, to avoid a last minute rush on January 31st, 2023.
- Refer back to our 2021 Autumn Budget Summary for 2022/23 tax rates and tables. If you don’t have a hard copy and would like one, email marketing@georgehay.co.uk or download the PDF here.
