Accountex 2023 took place once more at ExCel London, 10-11 May, bringing together hundreds of the top fintech companies, software vendors and accounting industry experts under one roof.

Associate Partner, Caroline Hicks and Marketing Manager Ashleigh Morgan attended this year, to learn more about where the industry is headed, the latest software solutions available and how they can benefit our clients, and how we can continue to make positive change within our own practice.

Caroline commented: “Automation, advisory and working smarter were big themes at this year’s show; not just acknowledging the sheer volume of solutions that we have access to, but knowing how to implement the right ones, and how to get the most out of them.

As for advisory, it was clear that this is already (and will continue to be) a vital piece of the puzzle when it comes to how accountancy firms service their clients in a ‘digital world’, and that advisory and software really go hand in hand a lot of the time.

Whilst advisory is already a significant part of our offering, it was nice to be reminded that we’re taking the right approach.

As with last year’s event, it was useful to be able to speak to the people behind some of the key software platforms we’re coming across day-to-day, to see solutions in action, to understand how they can benefit our clients and we as agents, and to learn about what these vendors have in the pipeline!”
