This year, we sponsored the ‘Small Business of the Year’ category, and we were thrilled to be able to announce the winner of this award on the night.
The award recognises small businesses that typically employ less than 10 people, that are profitable, that have clear plans for development, that are adapting to changing markets and that do not see the size of their business as a barrier to big success.
The quality of entrants this year was fantastic, as it is every year, and all those recognised on the night, for their achievements and contributions, are a credit to the business community in Huntingdonshire.
Partner at George Hay and judge on the panel for the awards (for the 10th consecutive year), Toni Hunter, presented winners Aprenda Ltd. with their accolade at the black-tie ceremony – our congratulations go to them!
Congratulations also go to finalists in the category; Safety Rocks Ltd, Pathognomics Ltd, Montagu Physio Clinic, Zitko Consulting Ltd and Butcher Bayley Architects Ltd.
Toni had this to say about the evening: “This year’s finalists were all of a brilliant calibre once again. Selecting just one winner from each category is an unenviable task, particularly because every single entrant brings something completely unique to the table!
The businesses and entrepreneurs recognised on the night are testament to the diversity, originality and enterprising spirit within Huntingdonshire.
We chose to sponsor the Small Business category because what it stands for resonates with us, particularly given the fact that we have worked with many hundreds of small and growing businesses in our 80 years.
Recognising small businesses that are breaking down barriers and chasing continued growth, in what can sometimes feel like a pretty bleak economic climate and business environment, is important and we are pleased to have been able to do so.
All of this year’s winners and finalists should be extremely proud of all that they have achieved so far and we here at George Hay wish them continued success in the weeks, months and years to come!”
