Earlier this month, Samantha Green, Tara McCarter, and Sarah Kenyon attended the Digital Accountancy Show 2022, held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The show brings technology and software providers together with accountancy firms, to facilitate exploration of and education on digital transformation and practice automation, and to encourage discussion about how these things feed into an evolving client experience.
Sarah had this to say about the event: “It was my first time visiting the Digital Accountancy Show this year, and it has been an enjoyable and interesting day.
“The talks I attended on App Tech, and accounting for E-Commerce were highlights of the day, and both were very insightful.
“Getting used to new software can be daunting, but a key theme throughout the presentations was the idea of starting small and getting to grips with one element at a time, so as not to overwhelm yourself.
“As well as listening to some great speakers, the show also gave us an opportunity to meet innovative software providers and developers.
“We spoke with the team at Coconut, who are creating simplified accounting software for sole traders, and are currently working on becoming compliant with the MTD for ITSA regulations, which come into effect from 2024.
“The day has allowed me to connect with new people and to learn more about the range of apps and tools already available, and those in development. My colleagues and I have already been having discussions about how we can use what we have learned to improve processes in businesses we work with.
“Big thanks to Dan and the rest of the team for putting on a great show; I look forward to next year’s!”
