“Once again we reach the end of another year, one that has been like no other. You certainly would have needed 20-20 vision to have predicted it.
“We act for over 2,000 clients, and we have seen these businesses and individuals experience different fortunes.
“For some, such as local food retailers, the year has been financially successful but matched by hard work. For a few, there has been little change to the trade that they are used to and for many, this has been a hugely difficult year with so many challenges.
“At George Hay, we pride ourselves on working closely with our clients and feel the emotional ups and downs with them.
“As a firm, we continue to invest in the future of the practice and are in a good position to adapt to an ever-changing business and economic landscape.
