George Hay have enjoyed a string of achievements in recent months as they continue to consolidate their cloud-accounting expertise and strengthen the cloud-accounting services they offer to businesses and individuals.

With the UK tax system set to undergo a significant transformation as a result of Making Tax Digital (MTD), the firm are keen to ensure that their clients are well-equipped to accommodate the changes it will bring.

Back in December, Claire Gardiner and Caroline Hicks of the Biggleswade office, both achieved the Sage Business Cloud Accounting accreditation.

Sage Business Cloud is designed to help businesses manage accounting, payroll, payments and their people more effectively.

However, recognising that no single business is the same, the local accountants are also committed to assisting clients with choosing a software package that is matched to their needs.

Among the team are a number of trained advisers who are able to work with businesses using Sage, Xero or Kashflow.

Last month, George Hay achieved Silver Champion Partner status with, UK’s leading cloud-accounting software provider, Xero; the result of staff having successfully completed rigorous training and having already enrolled a number of their clients onto the platform.

In addition, the firm have been deemed ‘MTD-ready’ by Xero after Debbie Harman, of the Letchworth office, recently completed the Xero MTD-ready course.

Xero can take care of your invoicing, recording of expenses, transactions and reconciliations, plus a whole lot more.

With less than two months until MTD is due to come into effect, George Hay will continue to introduce clients to innovative solutions that support more streamlined processes within their business and enable them to comply with the requirements of the new regime.

The team, who are based in Biggleswade, Letchworth and Huntingdon, can provide as much or as little input as you require; from initial set-up and training, to incorporating the software into your usual accounts routine.
