We are looking forward to continuing to support some of our local schools and colleges with careers-focused initiatives throughout 2023, and our team have already been out and about in recent weeks to showcase what accountancy, and our firm, has to offer.

Whilst we recruit at all levels, we are proud to be able to give school-leavers and graduates a structured route into the vocation and are always keen to change some of the preconceived ideas students have about the profession.

Off the back of National Apprenticeship Week, which took place between 6-10 February, Samantha Green, Associate Partner responsible for training and apprenticeships, comments: “Apprenticeships are great because we, as employers, benefit as well as the individuals we recruit.

“Bringing apprentices on board enables us to tap into new skillsets, to improve productivity and to nurture a workforce that answers to the needs of our business and client base.

“For those we take on, they get instant access to an experienced team who can mentor them and support them with their studies, as well as other trainees who understand the journey they are about to embark upon.

“I am confident that all our apprentices would tell you how much they value the opportunity to study towards professional qualifications, whilst being able to put their learnings into practice on the job.

“Supporting local schools with careers-focused initiatives and showing that a career in accounting is open to everybody, is really important to us.”
