ATOL registered companies are required by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to submit financial information that has been certified by an ATOL accountant.

ATOL registered companies hold a current ATOL licence; this, in theory, encompasses all UK travel companies selling air holidays or flights.

Why do I need an ATOL Reporting Accountant?

The CAA developed the ATOL Reporting Accountants’ Scheme. The scheme, which has been in operation since April 2016, was designed to meet two key objectives:

  1. Improve ATOL reporting
  2. Promote and ensure the provision of accurate information on behalf of ATOL holders.

An accountant must undertake specialist training, before acting as an ATOL Reporting Accountant (ARA). Consequently, only an ARA is eligible to submit an Annual Accountants Report, on behalf of your organisation, to the CAA.

Letchworth-based Partner, Richard Dilley, is a registered ATOL Reporting Accountant, and meets the latest requirements set by ATOL and the CAA.

Emma Wilsher, who has considerable experience in ATOL reporting, supports him alongside a wider team of audit professionals.

This means we can help ATOL holders operating in the travel industry to comply with reporting requirements and, ultimately, to retain their ATOL status.
