What is ATOL?
The Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL), which is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), is a government-backed scheme that offers consumers financial protection if they purchase ATOL protected products.
An accountancy solution for ATOL registered companies
Rules came into effect on 1 April 2016 that mean only a registered and designated ‘ATOL Reporting Accountant’ (ARA), working with an ATOL registered firm, will be able to sign ATOL accountants’ reports.
Whilst representative of a little more red tape to contend with, the new rules protect both ATOL registered companies and their customers.
In appointing an ARA accountant, ATOL firms can be safe in the knowledge that the individual they’ve chosen really does understand what the CAA expects, by way of information.
Here at George Hay Chartered Accountants, we are able to offer audit and accounting services to ATOL registered companies in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and throughout the UK.
Letchworth-based Partner, Richard Dilley FCA FCCA, is a registered ATOL Reporting Accountant (ARA) and meets the latest requirements set by the Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). He is supported by Emma Wilsher FCA who has considerable experience in ATOL reporting and by a wider team of audit professionals who have years of experience assisting businesses with statutory, voluntary and specialist Grant audits.
