On 7th June, our Letchworth, Biggleswade and Huntingdon offices came together for the annual staff away day; an opportunity for us to spend the day as a collective, often with some team-building thrown in!

This year we met at the RSPB in Sandy for what turned out to be a gloriously sunny morning spent navigating the reserve. The aim of the game was to set off in our teams, locate ‘bases’, and to complete a task at each one before moving on to the next.

Tasks (thought up by our Senior Partner, Barry) included:

  • a taste test to guess crisp flavours,
  • a quiz all about the Queen,
  • naming birds and trees, and
  • identifying smells!

We are pleased to report that only one group took a wrong turn and racked up significantly more steps than the rest of us!

In the end, we all made it to the finish line and moved on to John O’Gaunt Golf Club for a two course lunch.

Richard Dilley, our Managing Partner, gave a presentation about the firms performance over the past 12 months, our strategy for the coming year and, since this was our first away day post-pandemic, took the opportunity to welcome all the new faces that have joined the team in that time.

The winners on the day came away with an impressive 78 points out of 96 up for grabs!
