National Payroll Week 2025 was recognised across the UK between 1st-5th September, highlighting the critical role that payroll professionals play in the economy.
With our own in-house BACS-approved payroll bureau, GH Payscheme, this is an opportunity for us to celebrate the team of professionals that enable our clients to streamline and outsource their payroll functions, and the work they do to keep thousands of employees paid.
As has become tradition, our payroll team laid on another fantastic bake sale in our Biggleswade office, with jungle-themed treats and decorations, which raised £64 for our annual charity.
Payroll Adviser, Samantha Holmes, also attended the CIPP’s Payroll Services Summit early on in the week. Here, she joined other payroll bureaus and providers to gather insights and ideas about the future of payroll.
Samantha said: “I really looked forward to attending the CIPP’s Payroll Services Summit, and it did not disappoint. It was an invaluable opportunity to engage with other payroll bureaus and providers, who understand the challenges associated with supporting clients, and were willing to share their experiences for the benefit of everyone in the room.
“With the likes of mandatory payrolling of benefits in kind on the horizon, and significant advancements in tech and AI beginning to impact the industry, the Summit gave us all a chance to home in on important topics, to explore how these things are being approached across the board and to understand how our role as payroll professionals is changing.”
