On Saturday 16th August, George Hay got back out on the water for the third year running at St Neots Dragon Boat Festival 2025, in the hope of improving on the previous year’s results.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t third time lucky for the team, and they landed second from last on the leaderboard.
However, they faced tough competition racing one of the three finalists in each of their heats!
Despite a slow start, determination from all involved meant we managed to knock almost 6 seconds off our time between the 1st and 3rd races.
Not only did we have a fantastic time paddling, but it was also really special to have so many colleagues, family members, friends (and dogs) cheering us on and capturing the action from the banks of the river.
We’re looking forward to returning in 2026 with a bit more speed, no mid-river seat switching, and a less terrified drummer!
