Claire heads up the book-keeping and management accounts arm of GH Online Accounting Ltd. Claire originally joined George Hay in accounts and auditing before transferring to the GH Online Accounting team. She has vast experience in helping clients to maintain their accounting records and in the production of management accounts.

Q4. What do you enjoy most about your role at George Hay?
The people I work with. It is a great team effort at George Hay and have enjoyed meeting and working with some fantastic people and good friends for a number of years.
Q5. A little birdy told us it’s your birthday this month (Happy Birthday!), so what’s the best birthday present you’ve ever received?
My kids bought me guinea pigs one year – best present ever!

Q7. If you were hosting a dinner party, what 3 courses would you serve?
I’m not the best cook so I think I would order a curry takeaway to be honest
Q8. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given during your career, or the most important thing you’ve learned?
The most important thing I’ve learned is that you get out of your job what you are willing to put in to it.
Q9. We’ve had amazing weather just recently – what’s your idea of the perfect way to spend a sunny day?
Definitely at the seaside with my kids– can’t beat paddling in the sea, crazy golf and chips.
Q10. What was it that appealed to you about a career in accountancy?
I always knew I wanted to be an accountant from a young age because I loved anything to do with numbers. When I was older I thought working in practice would give me the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of business’ that it would never get boring – which it never has.
