Welcome to our Spotlight feature, designed to help you get to know us a little bit better. Each month a member of our team will be tasked with answering ten quick questions to give you an insight into who’s behind the George Hay name.
Jenna joined George Hay in 1999 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Following qualification, Jenna decided to specialise in Taxation, with an emphasis on personal tax, and she manages the Tax Department in our Huntingdon office. In November 2014, George Hay became licensed to offer Probate Services and Jenna now spends much of her time advising on Estates and Inheritance Tax.
If you were hosting a dinner party, what 3 courses would be on the menu?
I really don’t know – there are far too many choices! I really enjoy my food and love cooking
Describe George Hay in one word?
Friendly – I work with a lot of very friendly people and believe that we are very friendly and approachable to our clients.
If you won the lottery, what 3 things would you do with the money before anything else?
Take all the family away on a big holiday, buy our dream home in the country, go to New York.
What is the best thing about working for George Hay?
The people I work with.
Describe yourself in three words?
Organised, amiable, diligent.
If you could do any job in the world for just one day, what would it be?
I would be a midwife.
What advice would you give to anybody considering a career in accountancy?
That accountancy is much more diverse than you may perceive, there are many different areas which you can specialise in, and it’s a great career choice.

What is your favourite film?
Love Actually – I love watching this is the run up to Christmas, and am a romantic at heart.
If you could visit any country in the world, where would it be and why?
I have always wanted to go to Canada and travel across it by train.
